Experienced support professional to provide 2nd and 3rd line support to a selection of schools. Based ideally in Oxfordshire or Bristol or the surrounding area, excellent customer service, inter-personal and organisational skills are required. You will already have good planning, and time management skills and have the ability to prioritise to ensure a collection of tasks are completed successfully and on time. You will be flexible to change and be able to adapt to the ever changing environment in educational ICT.
The role will involve installation and implementation of ICT projects in schools, some of which you would be expected to technically lead.
This is a varied and rewarding role suitable for an existing ICT professional who has the ability to learn quickly, has broad problem solving skills and is keen to expand their technical knowledge. As you will be customer facing the ability to explain technical issues to end users who may not be as technical is valuable.
Key skills: 2nd/3rd line IT support & implementation experience including
- Hyper-V/XenServer/VMWare virtualisation
- Windows Server
- Storage (particularly HP SAN’s)
- HP Switching (especially ProVision)
- Wireless installations (especially HP, Meru and Aruba)
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- Apple networking
- Windows Deployment Services
- Windows client OS’s
- Application Deployment
- Desktop deployment
- MDM solutions
Providing the above services in an educational environment previously is an advantage but not essential.
