The Department for Education has announced new plans to tackle the digital gap in schools, ensuring all pupils and staff benefit from reliable, safe technology in the classroom—no matter where they're based.

By 2030, all schools and colleges will be expected to meet six key digital standards, covering:
Broadband internet
Wireless networks
Network switches
Cyber security
Filtering and monitoring
Digital leadership
This initiative will help eliminate outdated systems and patchy connectivity, breaking down barriers to digital learning and ensuring every child gain essential digital skills for modern careers.
